Almost all of the dark-phase Osprey nest in Alberta. Almost thought it was something else, but knew it couldn't be due to it's size (over 7' wingspan) and who could mistake those fingertips. You see one of these birds in the distance you know right away it's either a Bald Eagle, Golden Eagle or Osprey. So huge! Neat bird, not hawk nor eagle.
Specially designed talons for holding fish. Talons have two claws forward and two back, allowing them to easily hold fish parallel to their bodies for aerodynamics. Aswell they have slime resistant feather, hehe.
